A lovely morning greets us today and we set out full of enthusiasm. Whilst 22.4km might sound difficult, the terrain is relatively easy for this stage. Again the yellow
canola fields between the wheat and barely is striking. We wander through the odd grape vines and olive groves.
The town of Estella greets us with ancient churches and Roman bridge – simply amazing.
At the end of the days, I find myself drawn to seek the quiet of a church and sit and reflect on the days past and to take my mind off the physical strain of the day. It is most relaxing and fulfilling. The churches are so full of the early story of our faith. They are very different to what we have in Australia. Some villages even have more than one.
